题目回忆版本一：
Do you agree or disagree? We should spend more time watching television programs that we can gain knowledge than only for entertainment.
题目回忆版本二：
Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: people should spend more time watching programs that provide knowledge and spend less time watching programs which provide entertainment only?
写作思路
本次综合写作以及独立写作较为简单。
这是一道二选一类题目。是一道新题。
这道题目跟之前出现过的两道旧题类似，一道是出现在中国大陆考区2009年2月22日的(The purpose oftelevision should be all educative, not entertain.)，另一道是出现在中国大陆考区2007年3月23日、2007年10月5日、2008年5月17日和北美考区2007年3月23日的(It is better towatch serious movie that helps people think than to watch movies that couldamuse and entertain people.)
对于这个题目，如果是同意的主观点，我们可以有如下的分论点：
1.提升自我能力。
Ø 多看能获取知识的节目，能让人们拓展眼界，了解更多的知识和技能，获取更多的跟学习和工作领域相关的背景知识，从而帮助自己能更好的理解学校学习的知识和帮助处理工作中的任务，提升自我的能力获得学习和工作方面的成就。
2.有助于提高思考能力。
Ø 多看能获取知识的节目，在观看节目的时候，人们会不由自主的进行思考所看到的知识，思考和理解知识的原理，从而提高思考能力。
对于这个题目，如果是不同意的主观点，我们可以有如下的分论点：
1.放松休息。
Ø 看娱乐节目可以让人们不用太多的费精力进行思考，最起码人们可以不用思考平时学习和工作的事情，可以转移人们的注意力，暂时不去想学习和工作中的烦恼，获得放松休息。如果看获得知识的节目，思考不断，用脑不断，大脑会比较累，难以休息放松。
2.有助于拓展人际关系。
Ø 看娱乐节目，可以让人们了解很多轻松不严肃的话题和信息，这样人们可以在各种社交场合很陌生人交流的时候有更多休闲的话题可以聊，并且这些话题不是学术性的，更加容易和人交流而不易引起冲突矛盾，从而帮助结交新朋友，建立起新的人际关系。
独立写作具体思路可借鉴：
选择同意：1. 可以以轻松的方式拓宽知识面。2.能够增加跟家人的话题。3. 让步：看电视本身是为了放松和减压的，如果在看电视当中还要学习，会使人感到更累。
