英语的语法规定如下：如果是外国乐器，则其前面一般加定冠词the，如：play the piano弹钢琴，但如果是中国自产的乐器，则其前一般不加定冠词the，如：play erhu拉二胡。但是在人教版七下课本中明确地写了，拉二胡是“play the erhu”。所以应该以现阶段学习的课本为主。
定冠词the的用法
1、指前文已经提到过的人或物There is a tree.The tree is tall.
2、指说话人都知道的人或物Let’s go to the classroom.
3、表示特指The book on the desk is his.
4、用于世界上独一无二的东西the moon,the sun,the earth,the world
5、用在序数词的前面表顺序He is the first one to come.
6、在表示乐器名称的名词之前She is playing the piano.
7、用在形容词和副词的最高级的前面He is the tallest in his class.
8、用在形容词的前面表一类人或物the rich,the poor,the sick,the new.
9、在表示江河,山脉,岛屿,海湾,海峡,沙漠等专有名词的前面the Nile,the Dead Sea,the English Channel the Sahara Desert.
10、在报纸,杂志,会议条约的名词前the New York Times,the Atlantic Pact.
11、在公共建筑,机关,团体,组织的名词前the Beijing station,the the Great Wall.
12、和表示姓氏名词的复数形式连用the Martins ,the Greens.
13、用在年代,朝代,时代的名词前the Qin Dynasty ,in the 50’s.
14、用在固定短语当中in the front ,in the north,on the left.
